A Academy of Television Arts & Sciences divulgou na última terça-feira, dia 28, os indicados para a 72ª edição do Emmy Awards. A cerimônia será realizada no dia 20 de setembro em formato virtual e terá apresentação de Jimmy Kimmel.
A minissérie “Watchmen“, da HBO, lidera a lista com 11 indicações, incluindo Melhor Minissérie. Criado por Damon Lindelof, a série é baseada nos quadrinhos de mesmo nome lançado em 1987. É estrelada por Regina King, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Jeremy Irons, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II e Andrew Howard.
Na sequência vêem “Succession“, também da HBO e criada por Jesse Armstrong, com 10 indicações. “Ozark“, série de drama da Netflix, ocupa a terceira posição com 9 indicações.
